Man charged for alleged sex assault of woman after Toronto concert

Toronto police have arrested a man allegedly responsible for a sexual assault almost a year ago. They say a 20-year-old woman was leaving a music event at Downsview Park after midnight last August. A man attending the event offered her a ride. He then allegedly drove her to a deserted area and sexually assaulted her. Gadi Melichov, 41, of Thornhill was arrested on Wednesday and has been charged with forcible confinement and sexual assault. Police say they have evidence there are more alleged victims.
